CoRoute Terms of Use
1. What CoRoute is
CoRoute is a mobile application that helps a group of riders stay together: it shares each member's position with the other members of the same convoy, provides a live voice intercom, quick status messages and SOS alerts, and keeps a history of rides. It is provided free of charge and without advertising.
2. Accounts
You need an account (e-mail and password, or Google Sign-In) to use CoRoute. You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your password confidential and tell us if you believe your account has been used by someone else. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other riders.
3. Riding safety
CoRoute is an aid to group coordination, not a safety device. It depends on your phone, its GPS and its mobile network connection, any of which can fail or be delayed. Always ride within the law and your abilities, keep your eyes on the road, and interact with the app only when it is safe to do so. In an emergency contact the local emergency services directly; an SOS alert in CoRoute reaches only the members of your convoy.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use CoRoute to harass, threaten or stalk anyone, to share unlawful content over the intercom or chat, to track a person without their knowledge and consent, or to interfere with the service or other users. Do not attempt to access other convoys or other riders' data. We may remove content, dissolve convoys and suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
Messages, status cards and ride names you create remain yours. You grant us the limited right to transmit and store them as needed to run the service for you and your convoy. Voice is relayed live and is not stored.
6. Privacy
How we handle personal data, including location and microphone use, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Availability and changes
CoRoute is run by volunteers on free-tier infrastructure. We aim to keep it running but do not guarantee availability, and we may change or discontinue features. We will give notice in the app of material changes where practical.
8. Disclaimer and liability
CoRoute is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, devmonks.space and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of or inability to use the service, including inaccurate or delayed location, failed or delayed alerts or messages, or decisions taken on the basis of information shown in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Third-party services
Map imagery is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under their terms. Google Sign-In is provided by Google under its terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using CoRoute at any time and request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
